A balanced programme is being followed for the development of the collection of hard copy, audio/video, CD-ROM, and other electronic forms of documents. The LIC houses one of the most comprehensive collections of current engineering and management publications.

The libraries are completely automated, with over 82,686 volumes of text books and reference books in over 19,970 titles. The library subscribes to 185 technical print journals and magazines, and more than 5,000 e-journals.

Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is a component of FISAT INTRANET that allows members to search, reserve, or check the status of any book in the library from anywhere.

Access to FISAT e-Library is Live!!!

The FISAT library has purchased an e-Library platform (Knimbus) that allows users to access digital library resources (e-Journals and e-Books) from any location on the planet. This service will be available through a computer, a laptop, and a smartphone. Knimbus is a powerful search engine. Users can now perform a single-point search across multiple resources and access the library at any time, from any location, and using any device.

Knimbus has assisted us in supporting our users, meeting their needs, and ensuring that our library's e-resources are used for research and learning on a daily basis.

After you've registered as a student or faculty member, you can log in using your registered e-mail ID and the default password: user@knimbus, which you can change after the first login.

Self-registration is available for those who have not yet done so. Please go to the above link and click the Sign In option to create/register your new user account.

Account Activation

After registering an account, Central Library must provide access authorisation to check that the registered users are genuine Library members.

In order to activate / authorise their account, Faculty, Research Scholars, and Students must submit an email to librarian@fisat.ac.in using the following format:

mLibrary Mobile App

The mLibrary mobile app puts eLearning and multimedia at your fingertips. It lets you carry a full FISAT e-library in your pocket. The mLibrary Mobile eLibrary App offers users a multi-format, content delivery App that allows them to consume eBook collections, the most recent journal issues, and multimedia instructional content.

Patrons can use their smartphones to access the entire library at any time and from any location. Knimbus has both an Android and an iOS app.

Library Rules & Regulations

All members are expected to adhere to the following rules to maintain a conducive learning environment.

Membership: Every Student/Staff of the College is eligible for getting membership of the library.

Library Hours: Library can be utilised by the students from 8 am till 7 pm. The circulation counter will be closed one hour before the closing of the library.

Entry / Exit: Students should mark their Entry/Exit at the entrance using their ID cards.

Silence Zone: Perfect silence should be observed in and around the library.

Book Borrowing: UG Students can borrow 3 subject books and PG Students can borrow 5 subject books. Additionally, everyone can borrow one General Reading Book, one Career Book, one CD-ROM, and one Bound Periodical at a time.

Overdue Fine: Books borrowed should be returned within 15 days. If not, an overdue charge of ₹1/- per volume per day will be levied.

ID Card for Transactions: Students should produce their ID cards for all transactions in the library.

Book Damage / Loss: Books are to be handled carefully. If damaged or lost, it should either be replaced or its current cost paid with due fine within 15 days. After 15 days, 2× cost if in print or 3× cost if out of print.

No Marking or Defacing: All markings and defacing of the books are strictly forbidden.

Personal Belongings: Personal belongings and printed materials shall be kept outside the library at the property counter.

Condition at Borrowing: Users must ensure the good physical condition of books at the time of borrowing. They shall be held responsible for any damage or mutilation detected at return.

Reference Material: Reference books, current periodicals and project reports are issued to readers for reference inside the library only.

No Dues Certificate: All members should return books borrowed before they proceed on long leave and obtain a "No Due Certificate" from the library.

Book Bank Scheme: A Book Bank Scheme is provided by the library, where members will be issued one standard book in each subject for using an entire semester.
